Services are 2:00 PM Thursday at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel with Internment at Heritage Burial Park South Lakes.

Titus Gene Smith passed away on June 13, 2010 in Oklahoma City. Gene was born on March 23, 1935 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Marion and Bertha Smith. Gene graduated from Bennington High School, joined the USAF in 1955 and spent 22 years first as a dental tech, then a boom operator refueling planes while they were in the air, retired and spent the next 25 years as a dental tech for Patterson Dental in OKC.

Gene was a 32nd degree Mason, belonged to India Shrine and was Captain this year for the third term to his beloved Nomad Unit.

Gene was preceded in death by: Parents, Marion and Bertha Smith.

He is survived by: His wife, Barbara of the home whom he said was the love of his life; Children, Greg Smith and wife Robin of Sacramento California, Eric Smith of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Melanie Smith of Sacramento, California, Emy Thompson and husband Randy of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Step-children, Roberta Hicks of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Kathy Tomison and husband Josh of Austin, Arkansas, Alan Hicks and wife Teresa of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Brothers, Wayne Smith and wife Juanita of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Keith Smith and wife Cheri of Kingston, Oklahoma; Two sisters, Maxine Green of Clinton Oklahoma, and Imogene South and husband Elijah of Moore, Oklahoma; Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
