Robert (Bobby) E. York, 61, of Norman, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 in Norman. He was born February 13, 1953 in Norman, Oklahoma to Eugene and Mildred (Kinsey) York.

For most of his life, Robert was employed in dirt work. Robert enjoyed car racing, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mildred York. 

Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie (Cox) York; his daughter, Shelley Raney; his grandchildren, Jerrod Raney and Wyatt Raney; his two uncles, Jerry Kinsey and wife Margie, and Ronnie York and wife Judy; his aunt, Pat Meyer and husband Lynn and family; and numerous other family members.

Visitation for Robert will be from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014, and from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street, in Norman with interment following at Denver Cemetery, 701 108th Ave SE, in Norman.
