Funeral services for Lynnetta Houston will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Rev. Burgie Thompson officiating and burial following in the Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Lynnetta Houston of Hugo, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 36. Lynnetta was born November 7, 1972 in Antlers, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lynn Houston and Lajauana Milam. She had lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She graduated from Hugo High School in 1990 and SOSU in 1995 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Lynnetta starting working part-time at the age of 16 at the Police Department Dispatch and had continued working for the Hugo Police Department and the County Sherriffs Department as Dispatcher for many years. She loved to take her dog for a drive, was very active in her church activities, enjoyed coffee with the girls in Paris on Thursdays, enjoyed e-mailing friends and babysitting her niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Houston; maternal grandmother: Edna Wilkerson; paternal grandparents: Charlie & Odell Houston; paternal step-grandfather: "Red" Milam.

Lynnetta is survived by her mother and step-father: Lajauana & Phil Milam of Hugo, OK; maternal grandfather: Willard Wilkerson of Antlers, OK; paternal step-grandmother: Haskell Milam of Hugo, OK; brother & fiance: Chris Houston & Jessica Jenkins of Hugo, OK; sister and fiance: Ladonna Houston & James Elrod of Bagwell, TX: Aunts & Uncles: Linda & Bruce Barnes of Electic, AL, Billy Jack Wilkerson and companion, Cindy Akard of Antlers, OK, Karen Ivy of Wister, OK; Nephew: Preston Houston of Hugo, OK; Niece: Trista Houston of Hugo, OK; numerous cousins; host of friends and Police Department family and Church family.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
