Information from William C Womack
My great grandmother was Mary J Lawless. She is buried in the Sobol cemetery, Choctaw county, Oklahoma. Her headstone indicates a birth date of July 5, 1850. I have no idea of how it happened that the headstone is incorrect, but it is.
According to the 1910 census records she was 75 at that time. This would place her birth year as 1835. She was having children in the early 1850s so a birth date of 1850 is obviously impossible. Family records that I have also confirm July 5, 1835 as her birth date.
