Funeral services for Rudy Winters will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Boswell with Pastor Jan Lee and Pastor Jarrod Wright officiating and burial following in the Restland Cemetery. Rudy passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 in Boswell, OK, at the age of 66.
Rudy Winters was born October 17, 1949 in Crowder Springs, OK, to Clarence Lee “Lucky” Winters and Ruby Gladys (Elmore) Winters. He had lived in this area all of his life and married Brenda Nan Shults of December 21, 1974 in Boswell, OK. He worked at Home Depot as a Sales Associate. Rudy was an outdoors person and loved riding horses. He enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Katy Bell; and his brothers, Craig, Cecil, Leon and Dee.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Brenda Winters of the home; children, Buren Lee and wife, Edwena of Paris, TX, Amanda Teeter and husband, Bill, of Paris, TX, and Joshua Winters and fiancee, Amanda Beall, of Hugo, OK; brothers, Alvie Winters and wife, Wanda, of Brawley, CA, and Doyle Winters and wife, Carol, of Boswell, OK; sisters, Rubye Glenn of Hugo, OK and Judy Woodrum of Bennington, OK; his grandchildren, Cole, Leldon, Ely, Maggie, Autumn, Kilynn, Makaylia, Brandon, Tayla, Jailynn, Amber, Adrian & Grayson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
