Hoot Gibson Robinson

Graveside services for Hoot Gibson Robinson will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK with Rev. Herb Wharton officiating.

Hoot passed away Monday, September 13, 2010, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 76.

Hoot Gibson Robinson was born September 13, 1934, in Boswell, Oklahoma, to Joel C. and Polly Edna (Payton) Robinson. He had lived in this area most all of his life. Hoot was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Boswell, OK and the DAV. He served his country in the United States Army. Hoot worked as a welder for thirty years for Tidewater Oil Company. He enjoyed fishing and racing cars. He was preceded in death by four sons, Joel Robinson, Wendell Robinson, Bryce Robinson and Howard Robinson; one brother, Rex Robinson.

Hoot is survived by one son, Bryne Robinson of Bennington , OK; one daughter, Kim Janeway of Ft. Pierce, FL; three brothers, Max Robinson of Newton, TX, C. W. Robinson of Antlers, OK and Jake Robinson of Boswell, OK; two sisters, Phyllis Elliott of Dayton, TX and Rosemary Wood of Boswell, OK; seven grandchildren; four greatgreat grandchildren and including a special grandson, Clint Robinson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

in the Prater Lampton Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
