Funeral services for Roy Dwain James will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Boswell, OK with Jan Lee officiating and burial following in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK.

Roy passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Roy Dwain James was born August 24, 1933 in Loveland, Oklahoma, to John Ross and Aarcola (Fannin) James. He had lived in this area since 1942 after moving here from western Oklahoma. He had served his country in the United State Army.

Roy married Laura Virgina Titus, fondly known as "Ginger", on May 29, 1956. He worked as a barber in Boswell, OK for fifty years and also farmed and raised cattle on the side. James enjoyed working, fishing and visiting people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Laura Virginia James, sister, Irene Goins and brother, Calvin Charles James.

Roy is survived by sons, Roger James and wife Susie and Jackie James all of Boswell, OK, Rusty James of Conroe, TX; one sister, Patsy King and husband Timmie of Oklahoma City, OK; two aunts, Melba Gibson of Kilgore, TX and Catherine Fannin of Marietta, OK; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK.
