Funeral mass for Morris “Frenchie” Terrebonne Jr. will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Joseph Chirayath officiating and burial is following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Frenchie passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.
Morris “Frenchie” Joseph Terrebonne Jr. was born August 3, 1929, in Golden Meadow, LA, the son of Morris Joseph and Ora Lee (Cheramie) Terrebonne. He married Wilma Ann Loman on March 3, 1950, in South Carolina. He had lived in this area for the past twenty-six years after moving here from Galliano, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army fighting bravely in WWII with B Co. 27th Infantry Regiment, Korea with I Co. 27th Infantry Regiment, and Vietnam with the 4th Battalion 21st Infantry. He retired as a Sergeant Major in 1975, fully decorated from all three wars. He was a devout member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church, Hugo Lions Club, and the V.F.W. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma Ann Terrebonne and son, Maurice Jean Terrebonne.
Frenchie is survived by two sons, Steven Thomas Terrebonne and wife, Trina and Danny Ray Terrebonne and wife, Ingrid; three daughters, Toni Jo Terrebonne, Andrea Lea McFadden and husband, Kevin and Cheri Ami Williams and husband Billy; grandchildren, Steve Joseph Terrebonne, Danny Ray Terrebonne Jr. and wife, Amanda, Crystal Smith and husband, Kristopher, Nicholas Williams and wife Alana, Christopher Williams and B.J. Williams; great-grandchildren, Skylin Jade Terrebonne, Serena Smith, Kylan Liedtke, Kayleb Lopez, Chelsea Pierce and Ayreona Parish.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2011, starting at 5:00 p.m. and Rosary at 6:00 p.m. in the in Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel. Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.praterlampton.com.
