Graveside services for C. D. Zachry will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Happy Cemetery in Happy, TX with Rev. Paul McQuerry officiating. C. D. Zachry died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in Hugo, OK at the age of 90.

C. D. Zachry was born July 22, 1919 in Happy, TX, the son of Eugene Nunn and Jane Annis (Trusty) Zachry. He married Mildred Ann Guest on July 5, 1942 in Amarillo, TX. He had lived in Happy, TX before moving here in 1969. He and his wife worked their cattle ranch and raised grains and wheat. He was a member of the Rattan Baptist Church, he was on the building committee for the First Baptist Church in Happy, TX. He also liked to hunt and fish when he had time.

C.D. was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; four sisters; one daughter-in-law, Linda Zachry and one great-grandson.

C.D. is survived by his wife: Mildred Zachry of the home; two sons: John Zachry of Hugo, OK and Dick Zachry and wife Dee of Comanche, TX; one sister: Norma Womble of Hope, AR; six grandchildren: Amy Alexander, Chris Zachry, Jennifer Lester, Mitzi Zachry, Jason Zachry, and Casey Zachry; eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
