Funeral services for Clyde Sconce will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Unity Baptist Church, with Rev. Bergie Thompson officiating. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, TX. Clyde passed from this life in his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the age of 70.

Dillard Clyde Sconce was born November 22, 1942, in Yanush, OK, the son of Hermon Clyde and Lucille (Garrett) Sconce. Clyde was raised in Amarillo, TX and married Linda Frances Stover on October 27, 1961, in Amarillo, TX. They moved to Irving, TX in 1970 where he worked as a mechanic and retired from Roadway Express. He moved to the Hugo area after his retirement in 2000. He was a member of American Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed being outside. In his younger days he raced race cars.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; daughter, Doretta Kaye Dotson of Kansas City, MO; son, Carl Clyde Sconce and wife Debbie of Midlothian, TX; 5 grandchildren, Brandie, Luskey Ray, Lindsey, Cody and Ryan; numerous nieces and nephews; special person, Katie Marsh and all at Encompass.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK
