Graveside services for Emily R. Meek will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Silent Grove Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas with Gary Thomas officiating. Emily passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 in Antlers, OK, at the age of 99.

Emily R. Meek was born October 26, 1914 in Lowell, Arkansas, to Bill and Bertha (Gobble) Robbins. She married Walter Edward Meek on October 27, 1932 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and was of the Baptist faith. Emily worked as a chicken grader for Tyson Foods. She had lived in this area for the past ten years and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Edward Meek; daughter, Doris Mae Park and grandchild, Tracy Park.

Emily is survived by son, William Henry Meek and wife, Carolyn, of Antlers, OK; son-in-law, Arden Park of San Diego, CA; step-son, Artie Meek and wife, Deloris, of California; brother, Bill Robbins of California; sister, Nellie Richardson of California; grandchildren, Edward Meek, Robin Meek, Bruce and Michelle Scheel, David and Vickie Russell; 5 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
