A celebration of life for Mary R. Beck will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Elder Mike Folmar officiating. Mary passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in Paris, TX at the age of 78.

Mary R. Beck was born July 7, 1936, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Henry L. and Verna (Larue) Redwine. She was a very gifted artist who became a graphic illustrator for the U.S. Army. Mary earned her Bachelors of Art at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, then working at Ft. McClellan in Alabama and Ft. Sill in Oklahoma during her career. She raised three strong boys while working. Mary has been in the Hugo area most of her life and has been very active in the Paris Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by sons, Mike Beck of Winnabow, NC, John Beck of Lawton, OK, Joe Beck of Hugo, OK; one sister, Tommie Lou Kernell of Hugo, OK; eight grandchildren, Robbie, Corey, Heather, Jessica, Johnna, Joseph, Michaela, and Audra; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jessia, and JoAnna.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 in the Prater Lampton Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
