Funeral services for James Henry Sims will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with burial following in Goodland Cemetery.

James passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at the age of 85. James was born April 8, 1924 in Hugo, Oklahoma the son of Earl Larkin and Monty Delora (Crews) Sims. He stayed in this area all his life and worked on the family farm. James enjoyed watching T.V., especially his favorite programs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willie Ray Sims.

James is survived by two sisters: Ruby Stockton of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Betty Latham of Hugo, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law: Betty Sims of McAlester, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
