Graveside services for William Lafayette Drinnon will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Ft. Towson Cemetery.

W.L. passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at his home in Frogville at the age of 75. William Lafayette Drinnon, age 75, was born August 22, 1934 in Milburn, Oklahoma, the son of Lou Charles and Willie Lafayette (Edwards) Drinnon. He had lived in this area for the past forty years after moving here from Rattan, OK.

He married Nina Mae (McCanless) Diggs on March 2, 1990 in Hugo, OK. She became his constant companion and loving caregiver until the day of his passing. William was a firm believer in working from "can to can't". He always told all of us to "Get in there and make'em a hand". We will continue trying to live up to his expectations.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louise Freeman and Edna Heddlesten.

William is survived by his wife, Nina, six children Ronald Lou Drinnon of Swink, OK, Glenda Smith and husband, Frank of Chickasaw, OK, Dwayne Drinnon and wife, Lisa of Cunningham, TX, Marlene Guerra and husband, Gabriel of Swink, OK, Shane Diggs and wife, Mary of Spartanburg, South Carolina, James Diggs and wife, Jennifer of Frogville, OK; twelve grandchildren, Eric Smith, Mindy Brownfield, Bradley Smith, O'Neal Drinnon, Weston Drinnon, Sarah Guerra, Nicholas Guerra, Cody Diggs, Justin Diggs, Autumn Diggs and Madison Diggs; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, OmaLou Morgan of Cleburne, TX and Marthie Martin of Unger, OK; one brother, Billy Drinnon of Swink, OK; several nieces and nephews and many friends that were close to the family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Ft. Towson Cemetery Chapel.
