TAHLEQUAH — Services for Frances Mae Teague will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m., at the Reed Culver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow at the Tahlequah City Cemetery.

Frances Mae Teague was born on Nov. 27, 1927, in Park Hill, the daughter of James and Flossie Marie (McFarland) Leep. Frances grew up and lived in the Park Hill area her entire life.

She married the love of her life, Bill Teague, and together they raised their family in Tahlequah. Frances and Bill spent 31 wonderful years together.

Frances became known to her family as “Granny,” and she loved taking care of them. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, flea markets and her annual yard sale, which everyone who knew her, enjoyed and anticipated every year. Frances passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, in Tahlequah. She was 84 years old.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Teague; mother and father; daughter, Sue Land of Kerny, Ariz.; brothers, Jimmy, Johnnie and Buster Leep; sisters, Pauline Perez, Mollie Carter and Katie Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include: sons, Ray and Roy Teague of Tahlequah; sisters, Noama Godwin and Barbra Jean Pritchett; brother, Joe Leep of Tahlequah; 11 grandchildren, 37 great–grandchildren and 5 great–great–grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
