TAHLEQUAH — Services for Brian Tankersley, 26, of Tahlequah, are Thursday, April 19, at 2 p.m., at Green Country Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Brian Eugene Tankersley was born May 16, 1985, in Lake Charles, La., to Charles Tankersley and Vickie (Watson) Tankersley. He passed away in Tahlequah on April 15, 2012.

Brian liked working at the tire shop, fishing, Monday Night Football, and flirting.

He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, and singing country and gospel music.

Brian is preceded in death by his father, Charles Tankersley; maternal grandfather, Gene Watson; and his uncle, Dale Tankersley.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Tankersley of the home; brothers, Gary Tankersley, Kenneth Tankersley and Michelle, Doyle MacKall and Amanda, Paul Carter II and Renee, and Chris Carter, all of Tahlequah; grandmother, Dorothy Barbaree; other special family members, Donna, Wayne and Amy, Melonie, Channing, Peggy, Candy, and Larry; and 30 nieces and nephews.

Brian is loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
