Services for Gary Donald Davidson will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Southside Baptist Church, Tahlequah.

Officiating will be Rev. Dwain Denney, Rev. Ron Rice and Chaplain Kevin Webster.

Pallbearers will be David “Punk” Moore Sr., Eugene Nottingham, Keith Fisher, Dean Harless, John Osburn, Bill Rhodes, and Eddie Morrison.

Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

After a long battle with cancer, Gary Don Davidson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2012.

Gary Don was born on April 12, 1946, to Louise Augerhole and Orville Davidson.

He attended Tahlequah Public Schools and later Northeastern State University, obtaining a degree in physical education and business.

He taught school for two years, and then for the next 25 years, he owned his own construction business and later became a general contractor working with government contracts until 2006.

Gary Don was preceded in death by his mother, Louise, in 2003. On March 5,1966, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Young.

Gary Don is survived by Sharon; his children, Sheri Dawn Cantero and her husband, Michael, and their children Emily and Matthew, and a son, Brad Davidson; his sister Janette Rucker; and several cousins and a host of friends throughout his entire life.

For many years, his outside interests were football and golf, but after his grandchildren were born, they became the center of his life.
