Glen Lee Bentz, son of Eldred C. and Leota (Denton) Bentz was born September 4, 1938 in Beatrice, NE, and departed this life on August 14, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 10 days.

 

He loved the outdoors and really enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and watching football. Glen served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

 

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; Eldred and Leota Bentz and one brother; Don Bentz.

 

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Barbara Bentz of the home in Tahlequah, OK, 4 children; Carol Petty of Anaheim, CA, Julie Bentz and husband Richard "De" Flute of Stilwell, OK, Randy Bentz and wife Angel of Watts, OK, Lor-Lee Bentz and companion Rocky Solenberg of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Richard Petty and wife Jemilla of St.Cloud, FL, David Petty and wife Christina of La Mirada, CA, Christopher Petty and wife Rachel of Garden Grove, CA, Caleb Tripp and wife Brittnee, Joshua Tripp, Felicia Vann, Kristi Flute, Shane Bentz, Christopher Glen Doublehead, Ashley and Lizzy Minellono, Destiny Bentz and fiancé Shelby Eubanks Jr., Brandon Solenberg, great grandchildren; Alex and Edward Petty, Katelyn Petty, Ethan Petty, Lilly Tripp, Chasen and Talon Vann, Landin and Lukis Bentz, Jaden Doublehead, Sophie Eubanks and baby Emmy on the way. Sister; Linda Glover, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

 

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Charles Crozier officiating. Interment followed at Tahlequah City Cemetery, Tahlequah, OK.
