Kenneth Williams, son of Charley Clifton and Fannie Ethel (Hampton) Williams, was born on June 9, 1942 in Proctor, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 4 days.

 

He spent most of his life on a small farm in Adair County where he loved riding and raising Quarter horses.

 

Kenneth had a deep love for the Lord, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

He was saved on Mother's Day, 1967 at Chewey Community Church.  He loved talking about the Lord to anyone that would listen.  Kenneth was a hard worker and good provider for his family.  He worked as a mechanic, did paint and body work, but spent most of his life as a truck driver.

 

Above all, Kenneth loved spending time with his family and having all of them at home together.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; Charley and Fannie Williams, brothers:  Billy Ray Williams, RC Williams, Lonnie Williams, Roger Williams and sister:  Wilma Hastings.

 

Those remaining to keep his memory alive are his children:  Kenneth Gene Williams and wife Rita of Watts, OK, Richard Dean Williams and wife Kayla of Westville, OK, Robbie Wayne Williams and wife Sandra of Inola, OK, Lisa Kay Simpson and husband Wayne of Quapaw, OK, Kristi Lynn “Bug” Hansen and husband Charles of Proctor, OK, grandchildren:  Kevin Williams of Westville, Brandon Williams of Ft. Worth, TX, Rachel and Clifton Williams of Watts, Breanna Hawk and Alexandra Smith of Stilwell, OK, Amanda Buck of Virginia Beach, VA, Brandi Dozier of Jacksonville, NC, Tyler Williams of Westville, Randall, Kassie, Shaelyn and Brody Williams all of Inola, Ashton Scott of Foyil, OK, Colton and Katie Simpson of Quapaw, Kenli, Caleb and Kalyn Hansen of Proctor, OK, great grandchildren: Brynley Williams of Inola, Kaylie Dozier of Jacksonville, NC, Natalie Hawk of Stilwell, Ryder Laffoon of Watts, brothers: Jack Williams, Nub Williams and wife Frankie, Bobby Williams and wife Marian, all of Westville, JB Williams and wife Helen of Colcord, OK, sisters: Patsy Choate and husband Darrell, Betty Morris and husband Bud “Moe” of Westville.

 

Kenneth is also survived by many other relatives and a host of friends.  He will be deeply missed.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2012 at Roberts & Hart Chapel with Bro. Sammy Andrews officiating.  Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery.
