Services for Donald Audry Jackson will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, at Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Cobb Cemetery near Briggs. Reed-Culver has been entrusted with services. Pallbearers for Donald include: David Jackson, Daniel Leigh, Junior Jackson, Jay Elkins, Larry Skaggs, Bob Sawyer and Pete Leigh. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy James Leigh.

Donald Jackson was born on May 3, 1936, in Park Hill, the youngest son of Willis M. and Winnie E. (Glenn) Jackson. He left school at an early age and joined the U.S. Air Force, where he spent 20 years as a warehouse specialist. On June 18, 1955, he married the love of his life, Judith Gayle Cobb in Tahlequah. This union was blessed with one son, Gary, and one daughter, Pamela.

After retiring from the Air force, Don worked at Coca-Cola, Pepsi Co. and, finally, at American Airlines, where he retired after 20 years as a crew chief. When Don wasn't working, he loved to spend time with his wife and family, but most of all, his grandchildren and great–grandchildren. He adored them and thought them the best part of himself. He loved to spend the occasional afternoon at the fishing hole and was quite successful by all accounts. Don was kind, loving and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. He possessed an infectious laugh and could make any room light up with his presence. A Christian by faith, Don was called home from his labors on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, in Tulsa. He was 75 years old. He will be greatly missed by the many family and friends who have been touched by Don's love and laughter.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy of the home. He is survived by his two loving children, Gary Jackson and wife, Barbara of San Angelo, Texas, and Pamela Doolin and husband, Richard Sr. of Oologah. His legacy lives on in his five grandchildren, Michael Jackson and fiancé Samantha Ruiz, Deanna Moreno and husband Martin, Christopher Jackson, Richard Doolin, Jr., and Jennifer Doolin. He also leaves 10 great–grandchildren, Kyle Jackson, Waylan Jackson, Sebastian Jackson, Joaquin Moreno, Julian Moreno, Brianna Doolin, Derek Doolin, Aubrey Doolin, Zoey Shakir and Jordan Wilks, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.
