Graveside services for Dartez Vaden Brumley, 61, of Tahlequah, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Caney Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Neal Dillard. Interment will follow under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.Dartez Brumley was born Nov. 23, 1946 in Holdenville to Oran Brumley and Vera (Boyd) Brumley. He later moved to Graham, Texas where he graduated high school. Dartez was a graduate of Texas A and M University. In December of 1975 he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education. Dartez retired from teaching in Texas and moved to Tahlequah where he taught, until his passing on Oct. 22, 2008 in Tulsa.He was an avid hunter with Bluetick hounds and enjoyed traveling the United States, hunting coon, bear and mountain lion. He was a member of the Masons.Dartez was preceded in death by his father, Oran Brumley.He is survived by his wife, Ila, of the home; son, Will Brumley, of Hubbard, Texas; mother, Vera Chapman, of Holdenville; his sisters, Roberta Lankford of Holdenville, Bivian Brumley, of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Ben Chapman, of Holdenville, and Ed Chapman, of Mo.; stepsons, Ed Voyles, of Azle, Texas, and Treg Voyles, of Springtown, Texas; an aunt, Adell Dodd, of Jean, Texas; two step-granddaughters, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss him greatly.Green Country Funeral Home, 203 S.
