Brian James Bailey, the son of Billy Ray Bailey and Debra Owl, was born July 23, 1983, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 25, 2013, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 29 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Brian grew up in the Lyons Switch Community and graduated from Cave Springs High School. He married Ashley Thirsty, his true love and mother of their son, Billy James Bailey.

He was a very simple, good hearted man who was known for his deep voice, his laugh and his practical jokes. He had a huge heart, never turning anyone away and would give anything he had to others in need. Brian enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting and going to the surrounding area creeks.

He was preceded in death by his father, one uncle, James David Bailey and both grandfathers, Ray Bailey and Charley Owl, Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Ashley Thirsty, of Welling; son, Billy James Bailey, of Welling; mother Debra Owl, of the home; brother, Justin Ray and wife, Lisa, of Stilwell; sisters, Reyna Bailey and husband, Jarrod Cain, of Stilwell and Kelly Bailey, of Tahlequah; grandmother, Lucille Randolph, of Sallisaw; three nephews, Blaine, Jacob and Chase; one niece, Rayne and many friends and very close family.

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Adam Thirsty officiating. Interment followed at Barber Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
