Services for J.C. Yeatts, 95, of Ardmore, were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Ardmore First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin and Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. 

Mr. Yeatts was born March 12, 1905 in Denton, Texas, the son of Elvin Davis and Minnie B. Smith Yeatts.  He died March 19, 2000 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of Ardmore since 1944. He started J.C. Yeatts Furniture and Appliance Store in 1946. He and Doris Eades were married May 29, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Yeatts was a member of the Masonic Lodge #31 AF & AM, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Shriners, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Yeatts of the home; a son, Bob and wife Cleta of Pauls Valley; a stepson, Carl & wife Charrel Wessel of Duncan; stepdaughter, Peggy & husband Eldon Howard of Oklahoma City; three grandsons, John & wife Dorothy, Bobby and Jim; three granddaughters, Judy Hatfield, Amy & husband Bates Tunnell, and Jane & husband Mike Lee; three stepgrandsons, Rick Lewis, Garry D. Goodlett and Craig E. Wessel; nine great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.

Bearers were James Nash, Sam Brimer, Elmer Warner, Joe McReynolds, Cecil Smith and Darrell McMillan. Honorary bearers were the Worth Sunday School Class.

Services were under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. 

Memorials may be made to the building fund of the First Baptist Church, Ardmore.
