Joyce Wanell Coburn, 89, died January 11, 2021 in Yukon, OK.

She was born December 22, 1931 in Clarksville, TX to Felix Irvin and Annie Mae (Welborn) Watson. She graduated from Durant High School and later met the love of her life, Emmett B. Coburn. They were married December 22, 1949 in Durant, OK.

Joyce worked for Western Electric as an electronic specialist for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling with her family, and seeing her family during reunions every year.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emmett B. Coburn; and brother, Dale Watson.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Coburn and wife Wanda; Charles “Hal” Coburn and wife Leticia; brothers, Charles David Watson, Felix Irvin Watson, Jr. and wife Darla; sister, Kay Allen and husband Ted; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed.

Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams.
