The Oklahoma 15 Mar 1913 Submitted by: Emily Jordan BOY FATALLY SHOT SELF ACCIDENTALLY El Reno, Okla., March 14 Forrest Wallace, seventeen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wallace, residing eight miles southeast of this city, fatally shot himself Thursday afternoon about 4:30 o'clock while out hunting in the vicinity of his home. The young man had wounded a rabbit and attempted to kill the animal with the butt of his gun, when the second barrel was discharged, penetrating the boy's abdomen. The boy walked a mile to his home, before succumbing to his injury. |
