Oleta [Friesen] Evans

Oleta Evans was born April 6, 1930 to William (Bill) and Maudie (Ingram) Friesen in Hinton, OK. She passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at her home in Hinton, OK at the age of 75. Oleta was united in marriage to Edward Evans December 8, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of the Gracemont Assembly of God Church. Oleta lived all her life in the Hinton area. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Maudie Friesen, step-mother, Alma Friesen, one daughter, Rena Fern Evans and one brother, Wayne Friesen.

Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Elward Evans of the home, Hinton, OK; two sons, Ray Evans and his wife Darlene, and Roy Evans and his wife Jeanne all of Rt. 2, Minco, OK; eight grandchildren; Shawna Haase, Jeannie Frazier, Melissa Williams, Crystal Williams, Jason Evans, Rena Evans, Justin Evans, and Michelle Pastel; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Mary Ann Jett of Binger, OK; five brothers, Dan Friesen of Bakersfield, CA, Paul Friesen of Hinton, OK, Lloyd Friesen of El Reno, OK, Vernon Friesen of El Reno, OK, and Billy Friesen of Texas.

Services will be at the Assembly of God Church on Friday at 10:00 am on August 26, 2005, Gracemont, OK.

Officiating will be Reverand James McCaleb. Burial will be at Murray Cemetery, Binger, OK under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
