Stephen Earl Hamill

Steven Earl Hamill, 57, Verden resident passed away Monday March 27, 2006 at his residence.

Steven was born to Winthrow Quindal Hamill and Olive Ann Bruskey on December 20. 1948 in Oklahoma City.

Steven grew up in Anadarko graduating in 1967. He attended USAO in Chickasha for two years before joining the Navy where he served 21 years. While in the Navy he worked as an electronics tech. He served in the Philippines and many years in Norfolk, Virginia. After retiring from the military, he came back to Anadarko and worked at the Short Stop Two.

Steven collected and traded guns as well as knives. He also liked to do wood working.

Steven was a member of the NRA and First Christian Church.

Survivors include:

Son: Bryan Hamill and wife Mary, Verden, OK; Grandchildren: Cheryl, Paige, Morgan, Casey, Verden, OK; Amanda Hamill, Lawton, OK; Tyler Blount, Lawton, OK; Brother: Skip Hamill and wife Sonja, Anadarko, OK; Nieces: Eren Moore and husband Brian, Oklahoma City, OK; Deena Dolch and husband Jake, Verden, OK; April Hamill, Anadarko, OK; three Great-Nephews and one Great-Niece. Many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Rev. Richard Cox will be officiating.

Services are under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
