Irene Elizabeth Halfmoon
March 13, 1927 ~ September 13, 2012


Irene Elizabeth Halfmoon,85 of Anadarko departed this life on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Silver Crest Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past six years.

She was born March 13, 1927 to Edgar and Florence [Conner] Halfmoon in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

She attended Anadarko Schools.

She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, watching TV and eating her moon pie's.

She loved the staff at the Delaware Tribe and the employee's and her many friends at Silver Crest. She was a member of the Delaware Tribe of Oklahoma. Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Miller Halfmoon, her mother, Florence Conner Halfmoon, maternal grandparents, Harris Conner and Nora Edwards, a half brother, Hubert Halfmoon and paternal grandparents, Edgar Halfmoon and Susan Miller Halfmoon.

She is survived by the staff at the Delaware Tribe and many friends.

Grave Side service will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Memory Lane Cemetery with Rev Timothy Nestell offiiciating, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK
