Emma E. Mathis

Services for Emma E. Mathis, 94, of Cyril will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, August 11, in the Cyril First Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Wollenberg, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Mathis was born March 20, 1900 in Indian Territory and died Monday August 8, 1994 in a Lawton Hospital.

She grew up in the Fletcher - Cyril area. She married Pete Henry Mathis on May 11, 1925 in Pauls Valley and they lived in Cement and Texas. They returned to Cyril in 1957. Mr. Mathis died on November 26, 1977. Mrs. Mathis was a member of First Baptist Church , Cyril.

Survivors include two daughters; Imogene Calder of Farmington , New Mexico and Betty Jane Witt of Apache; a sister, Julia Claypool of Fletcher, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher.
