Ralph L. Upton
July 23, 1934 ~ August 10, 2012


Ralph L. Upton Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born July 23, 1934 in Anadarko, OK to Roy and Dorothy Leona [Owens] Upton. He passed away in Anadarko on August 10th at the age of 78.

Ralph graduated from high school and served in the National Guard for several years. He worked as an exterminator and owned his own business, Upton Termite and Pest Control, for over 40 years.

He enjoyed fishing and even made his own fishing gear, including lures, and sinkers. He liked to shop the flea markets and scavenge with his metal detector. He also gardened and claimed to grow a "$75.00 tomato" last year during the intense drought. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by: 2 sons - Jerry and wife, Gayla Upton ApacheJim Upton and his companion, Dana Conner Apache, 8 grandchildren - Chad Upton, Shane Upton, Hailey Hilliard, Heather Gudgel, Talon Upton, Mandy Gray, Joshua Upton, Matthew Upton, 3 great-grandchildren - Hunter Upton, Curtis Gray, Blayne Upton, 2 brothers and their wives - Joe and Christina Upton Apache, Calvin and Louise Upton Apache, 2 sisters and their husbands - Betty and Joe Remy Ft. Cobb, Margie and tommy Brush Lawton.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14th at 10:00 A.M. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Bob Ely officiating and assisted by Pastor Caleb McDowell. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Beulah "Christine" [Jones] Upton Huckleberry
September 2, 1939 ~ January 1, 2020


Beulah "Christine" Upton was born September 2, 1939, to A.D. and Beatrice [Jackson] Jones in Atoka, Oklahoma. She passed away on January 1, 2020, at her home in Apache. She was 80.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 3, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Crews Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 4, at 11:00AM at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Caleb McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home.

Christine attended Anadarko public schools. She married the love of her life, Joe Norvel Upton, on February 4, 1956, in Anadarko. She enjoyed doing ceramics and loved to paint them. Her main interest in ceramics was Native American heads, horses, and Native American artifacts. She liked to visit the casinos. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she enjoyed playing Dirty Santa. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Christine was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents; and sister, Beverly Jones.

Christine is survived by her children: Mike and wife Carol Upton of Blanchard, Dale and wife Tessa Upton of Verden, Ronnie and wife Jodi Upton of Winter Haven, Florida, Terry and wife Wendy Upton of McRae, Georgia, Sherrie and husband Dewayne Stafford of Apache; grandchildren: Cody and wife Sarah Upton, Tiffany and husband Shawn Morris, Jessica Upton, Crystal Mollett, Dylan Upton, Devin and wife Cayla Upton, Kayla and husband Louis Murillo, Kory and wife Sheila Upton, Kameron Upton, Tyler and wife Taylor Robinson; great grandchildren: Kaden and wife Terri Upton, Tinley Upton, Junior Upton, Kaleighna Murillo, Brennen Murillo, Abby Upton, Quanah Upton, Aliyah Upton, Aaden Upton, Emma Upton, Atlas Upton; brother, Arnold "Sonny" and wife Betty Jones; and sisters, Recia Orme, Carolyn and husband Jimmy Gildwell, Glenda and husband Ken Roddy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Upton, Dylan Upton, Kayden Upton, Devin Upton, Jerry Upton, and Frank Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Upton, Junior Mollett, and Shane Upton.

Calvin L. Upton
July 30, 1940 ~ November 21, 2014


Calvin L. Upton Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born July 30, 1940 in Washita, OK to Roy and Dortha [Owen] Upton. He passed away November 21st in Lawton, OK at the age of 74.

Calvin married Louise Denton on September 4, 1959 in Stecker, OK.

He worked as a plumber and electrician in the Apache area, owning his own business.

After his retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard and watching the deer and other wildlife around his home.

He was a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served his church in several capacities. He was a Sunday school teacher, superintendent, Deacon and on the building committee when the new church was built. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

He is survived by: His wife, Louise, of the home, 2 sons and their wives - Donnie and Candice Upton Apache, OK, Johnny and Kristy Upton Yukon, OK, 10 grandchildren - Erika Upton, Laken and husband, Dillon Pettit, Chantz Flinn, Kenlee Upton, Colby Upton, Jeff Upton, Shylar Upton, Madison Upton, Greydon Upton, Anderson Upton, 3 great-grandchildren - Rylee Derryberry, Isaac Derryberry, Gavin Derryberry, 1 brother and his wife - Joe and Christine Upton Apache, OK, 2 sisters and their husbands - Betty and Joe Remy Ft. Cobb, OK, Margie and Tommy Brush Lawton, OK, Many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, 1 son - Jeffrey Upton, 1 brother - Ralph Upton

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24th at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Caleb McDowell officiating and assisted by Rev. Bud Jones and Evangelist Bob Ely. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Norvel Joe Upton
December 7, 1935 ~ February 18, 2017


Norvel Joe Upton Of Apache, OK Was born December 7, 1935 in Washita, OK to Lee Roy and Dorothy [Owens] Upton. He passed away February 18th in Duncan, OK at the age of 81.

Joe entered the Army and served two years in Italy and Germany as a mechanic.

After his service, he married Christine Jones on February 4, 1956 in Anadarko, OK.

He worked as a framing carpenter, and superintendent, building houses. Joe like to keep busy, he worked on cars, racing them after building the engines. He also raced horses, and enjoyed riding them, even belonging to a local riding club. He raised and raced greyhounds for several years, as well. His favorite activity, though, was coon hunting and he belonged to a coon hunting club at one time. Joe also loved watching Westerns and later in life, he loved mowing his lawn.

He is survived by: His wife, Christine, of the home 4 sons and their wives - Mike and Carol Upton Blanchard, OK Dale and Tessa Upton Winterhaven FL Ronnie and Jodi Upton Winterhaven, FL Terry and Wendy Upton Winterhaven, FL 1 daughter and her husband - Sherri and Dwayne Stafford Stecker, OK 10 grandchildren - Cody and Sarah Upton; Tiffany and Shawn Morris; Jessica Upton, Crystal Mollett, Dylan Upton, Devin Upton, Kayla and Louis Murillo; Kory and Sheila Upton; Kameron Upton, Tyler and Taylor Robinson 10 great-grandchildren - Kaden Upton, Tinley Upton, Junior Mollett, Kaleighna Murillo, Brennen Murillo, Abby Upton, Quanah Upton, Aliya Upton, Aaden Upton, Emma Upton 2 sisters- Betty Remy Ft. Donald Wayne "Donnie" Upton
November 22, 1960 ~ December 20, 2018


Donald Wayne Upton, Apache, was born November 22, 1960, in Oklahoma City, to Calvin Lee Upton and Beulah Louise Denton Upton Huckleberry. He passed away on December 20, 2018, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 58. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2018, at 2:00pm at the Apache First Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Caleb McDowell. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Donnie graduated from Apache High School in 1979. He then attended the Caddo Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb, where he studied auto mechanics. He was employed as an electrician/plumber. His favorite pastimes were watching his daughter play softball and taking the kids fishing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and Dale Earnhardt. He also liked the OU Sooners.

He is survived by his mother, Beulah Upton Huckleberry; children: Erika Derryberry of Fletcher, Laken and Dillon Pettit of Carnegie, Chantz and Khambrey Flinn of Snyder, Kenlee and Stephanie Upton of Yukon, Colby Upton of Apache, Jeffery Upton of Apache, and Shylar Turner of Apache; grandchildren: Rylee, Isaac, and Gavin Derryberry, Adlee Pettit, Milli Paul, and Brynlee and Boston Flinn; and brother: Johnny and Kristy Upton and nieces, Madison, Greydon, and Anderson of Yukon.

He is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Upton; brother, Jeffery Upton; and grandparents, Elmer and Helen Denton and Roy and Dorothy Upton.
