Fleta Joy [Derby] Schultz
September 12, 1932 ~ March 9, 2015


Fleta Joy Schultz Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born September 12, 1932 in Apache, OK to Joe and Rena Bell [Ellis] Derby. She passed away in her home on March 9th at the age of 82.

Fleta graduated high school and moved to Washington State where she worked for the Department of Energy. She returned to Oklahoma and married Milton "Scooter" Schultz on March 10, 1952 in his brother’s home at Richards Spur, OK. He preceded her in death December 12, 2005.

She went to work for Sexton and Sexton School Supply in Apache until her retirement. She was a member of the quilting club. She enjoyed working out in her yard and garden. Fleta loved to spend warm evenings sitting underneath her large tree in the front yard visiting with family and friends. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who, she believed, could do no wrong.

She is survived by: 1 son and his wife - Steve and Deb Schultz, Apache, 3 daughters - Karen Ritter, Apache, Sandy and husband, Bill Haden, Apache, Sherry and husband, Sean Robinson, Apache, 8 grandchildren - David and Jacqui Ritter, Alaina and Ricky McNeill, Kevin and DeAnne Schultz, Trevor Schultz, Phillip and Becca Boydstun, Jillian and Cody Allison, Hailey Jurek, Talon Upton, 11 great-grandchildren - Garrett Ritter, Greenlee Ritter, Luke McNeill, Wyatt McNeill, Aydan Schultz, Ryker Schultz, Jasper Boydstun, Levi Allison, Karli Allison, Jacob Jurek, Blayne Upton and one more on the way, 1 brother and his wife - Bill and Gladys Derby, Apache.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Her husband, 1 granddaughter - Jamie Lynn Ritter, 2 sisters - Norma Aldridge, Josephine McCullough.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 11th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Chaplain Charles “Chappy” Leggett officiating and assisted by Pastor Kerry Glasgow. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home
