Glenda Ruth [Richey] Lynch

Funeral Services for Glenda Ruth Lynch, 58, of Apache were held in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Apache, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2002 with the Rev. Bud Jones, pastor, officiating.

Glenda was born on April 17, 1943 in Oklahoma City to Doyle B. and Opha Jane Richey and passed away on January 29, 2002 in Lawton.

She married John W. Lynch on June 28, 1963 in Tulsa. They moved to the Apache area in May of 1977 from Oklahoma City.

Glenda worked with the Boy Scouts of America in Oklahoma City from 1970 to 1977, serving on many committees, conducting training and serving as a Den Mother.

After moving to rural Apache she served on the Comanche County Election Board until 2001 when she stepped down for health reasons.

She served as a School Board member at Stoney Point from 1980 to 1988.

She attended the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; 2 sons: Todd Lynch, Lawton and Lee Lynch, Yokasuka, Japan: one daughter, Mindy Akima, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; three grandchildren, 2 brothers: Paul Leon Richey, Blanchard and Braunell Richey, Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Braunita Settingdown, and a brother, Rhul Gene Richey.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
