Andrew Jack Reynolds


Funeral service for Andrew Jack Reynolds, age 85, of Chickasha, is pending with the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.

Reynolds was born on August 14, 1920. He died on Sept. 2, 2005.

Funeral Service for Andrew Jack Reynolds, age 85, of Cyril will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, in the First Christian Church of Cyril. Rev. Joe Howard will officiate.

Mr. Reynolds was born the son of George D. Reynolds and Melvina Hopkins Reynolds on August 14, 1920 in Wanette, Oklahoma. He died on September 2, 2005, in Oklahoma City.

He married Doris Benton on September 1, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jack spent his whole life in the Fletcher and Cyril area. During World War II he enlisted in the US Navy and served until the end of the war. After the war, he returned to Cyril and worked at the APCO Refinery. He retired from the refinery with over 40 years of service.

Jack was well known as a good baseball player and played for the APCO and Apache baseball teams. He also enjoyed golfing with his sons, grandsons and friends. Jack also loved to bird hunt.

Jack was a member of the First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, 1 brother and a grandson, Brad Reynolds.

Survivors include: Wife, Doris Reynolds of the home, son & wife, Jackie and Josie Reynolds of Anadarko, son & wife, Freddy and Nora Reynolds of Cyril, son & wife, Tim & Toye Reynolds of Chickasha, sister, Beatrice Robertson of Cement, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Celestial Garden Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.

Doris Yates [Benton] Reynolds


Doris Yates Reynolds of Cyril, Oklahoma was born September 28, 1924 near the Comanche-Caddo county line between Fletcher and Cyril, OK to Virgil Mike and Myrtle [Williams] Benton. She passed away February 13th in Oklahoma City at the age of 89.

She graduated from high school and married Andrew Jack Reynolds on September 1, 1941 in Lawton, OK. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2005.

She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Cyril.

Her greatest joy was raising her family, she loved spending time with all of her kids and their families. She is fondly remembered for making the best apricot fried pies ever.

She is survived by: Two sons and their wives-Freddy and Nora Reynolds of Cyril, OK; Tim and Toye Reynolds of Chickasha, OK; Her daughter-in-law- Josie Reynolds of Anadarko, OK; 8 grandchildren-Andy Reynolds, Gayla Reynolds, Greg Reynolds, Dorisa Dunavin, Michael Lynn Reynolds, Tisha Leslie Peterson, Keely Jared, Tanner Reynolds; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents; 11 brothers and sisters; 1 son- Jackie Lynn Reynolds; 1 grandson- Brad Reynolds.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 17th at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church of Cyril with Pastor Delbert McCurley, officiating. Burial will follow at Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

Jackie L. Reynolds

Funeral service for Jackie L. Reynolds, age 64 of Anadarko, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006, in the First Christian Church of Cyril. Rev. Randy Robertson will officiate.

Jackie L. Reynolds was born the son of Andrew Jack Reynolds and Doris Benton Reynolds on March 29, 1942, in Fletcher, Oklahoma. He died on April 6, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Jackie married Josephine Keeler on January 25, 1959, in Anadarko. They both graduated from Cyril High School in 1960. Jackie was an all-around athlete at Cyril High School. After graduation, he attended Cameron College for two years. In 1965, he began his career for the Santa Fe Railroad in New Mexico. He retired in 1997 with 32 years of service. Jackie loved to play golf with his father, brothers, and sons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Reynolds, in 2005.

Survivors include: wife: Josie Reynolds of the home; son & wife: Andy & Candra Reynolds of Portales, New Mexico; daughter: Gayla Reynolds of Springfield, Missouri; son & wife: Greg & Sarah Reynolds of Anadarko; daughter & husband: Dorisa & Steve Dunavin of Amarillo, Texas; mother: Doris Reynolds of Cyril; brother & wife: Freddy & Nora Reynolds of Cyril; brother & wife: Tim & Toye Reynolds of Chiclasha; five grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.
