Alvin G. "Bud" Moody

Graveside service for Alvin Moody, 86, of Cyril will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril with Pastor Donnie Miller, officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moody passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his home in Cyril, OK. He was 86 years old.

Alvin G. Moody was born on October 28, 1927 in Fletcher, OK to Ret and Nell [Witten] Moody. He graduated from Cyril High School in 1947 and attended Cameron University for 2 years.

Alvin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, Alvin went to work for civil service as an Army Reserves recruiter until he retired in 1984. He was a member of the VFW American Legion Post.

He enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the lake, and family get togethers. Alvin was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed.

Alvin is survived by 1 sister, Vera Clour, of Ratliff City; 1 brother, Jerry Moody, of Cyril; and several nieces and nephews.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, Ret and Nell Moody; and 1 niece, Cherrie Clour.
