Angie Bernice [Orf] Gilliam

CHICKASHA - Funeral service for Angie Bernice Gilliam, 84, of Newcastle, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in the First Christian Church, Cyril, Okla.

The Rev. Kirk Smethers will officiate. Angie Bernice was born the daughter of Joe Orf and Ruby Mickle Orf on Nov. 29, 1925, in Wilburton, Okla. She died on May 9, 2010, at her home in Newcastle.

Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Cyril. Viewing will be at the McRay Funeral Home in Chickasha.

Billy Eugene Gilliam

Memorial service for Billy Eugene Gilliam, 91, of Newcastle, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Cowboy Country Church in Newcastle. Rev. John Hooser will officiate.

Billy Eugene Gilliam was born the son of Samuel and Martha Gilliam on May 25, 1926 in Cyril, OK. He died on November 24, 2017 in Norman, OK.

Billy grew up in Cyril and graduated from Cyril High School after which he enlisted in the Navy and was discharged in 1946. He moved to California for a time before returning to Chickasha where he initially worked for his brother Charlie in his piano sales and service business. Billy later started his own piano business which he operated for 50 years. He passed the love of the piano business to his children who have continued his legacy.

He married Melba June Landers and she preceded him in death in 1997. He later married Bernice Orf who preceded him in death in 2010. Billy was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, two wives and eight siblings.

Billy is survived by his son Kraig Gilliam and wife Elaine of Ft. Worth, TX; son Tim Gilliam of Fletcher, OK; son Terry Gilliam and wife Debbie of Edmond, OK; daughter Margaret Wilson of Newcastle, OK; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
