Marcia [Stewart] Brummer

Marcia Brummer, 57, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a longtime cardiac illness. She was born March 18, 1952 to Roland and Joy [Welch] Stewart in Stringtown, Oklahoma.

She was united in marriage to Mike Brummer of Apache, OK on May 16, 1988 in Wichita Falls, TX.

She was previously employed as a bookkeeper at TG and Y, then as secretary for Dolese Brothers in Cyril, where she and Mike first became acquainted.

She left Dolese in 1999 when she was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy.

She graduated from Cement High School in 1970 and proudly began to support the community. In recent years she served as President, Vice-President and Secretary of the Cement Community Association and the Curator for the Cement Museum.

Marcia was proud to have been elected to Girls State where she served as the City Treasurer and City Election board member of the 1969 Demke City project.

Marcia had many hobbies involving crafts and decorations. She enjoyed producing and designing flower arrangements, corsages and goody bags for family and friends' weddings, homecomings, student functions and other special occasions.

Even though her health would not allow her to participate in rides, she encouraged and planned motorcycle rides and trips for her husband, Mike.

She remained strong throughout her life and will always be loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Mike of the home, two sons: Shay Brummer and wife, Natalie, their two sons, Gavin and Cole all of Edmond, OK, Dru Brummer and wife, Tammi, their son Caden all of Choctaw, OK, two brothers and two sisters: Gary Stewart of Cement, OK, Tim Stewart and wife Jana of Rush Springs, OK, Brenda Turner of Cement, OK, Gayla Robinett and husband, Jason of Jay, OK, sixteen nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Joy Stewart. Her mother and father in law, Chuck and Donna Brummer. One brother, Jimmy Stewart.

Services: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009, First Baptist Church, Cyril, OK. Officiating: Rev. Dallas Caldwell.

Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, OK under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK.
