Dean Colman Bradshaw

Dean Colman Bradshaw of Cyril, Oklahoma was born April 7, 1920 in Alco, AR to William Sanford and Josie Jane [Fox] Bradshaw. He passed away on February 25th in Yermo, CA at the age of 90.

Dean was married to Dolly Belle Riley in 1939, to this union they had a daughter. He later married Mae Frances Torres in 1949. They moved to Cyril where he worked as a butcher until he went to work at the Cyril oil refinery as a refinery operator for 31 years.

Dean enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, dancing and playing cards. He was a faithful member of the First Christian Church.

Dean is survived by - 1 daughter and her husband - Polly and Bill Fosler Yermo, CA, 1 son and his partne - Karl Bradshaw and Jeff Schlund Glendale, CA 3 Grandchildren - Steve Gibbs Yermo, CA, Leslie and her husband, Albert Santillan Fullerton, CA, Mallory Bradshaw Columbus, OH, 6 Great-grandchildren - Tyler and Renee Israelson, Tanner Israelson, James Gibbs, Travis Gibbs, Joshua Gibbs and Amanda Gibbs, 1 Great-great grandson-Austin Israelson, Many nieces and nephews and friends that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Bradshaw, His parents, 4 brothers- Floyd Bradshaw, Ray Bradshaw, Dallas Bradshaw and Eulis Bradshaw, 4 sisters- Alta Hendrix, Alma Logan, Beatrice Strickland and Bertha Patton.

Services for Mr. Bradshaw will be held Friday, March 4th at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held Thursday evening at the Cyril Funeral Home from 7-9 P.M.

Patsy Mae [Abney] Bowman

Patsy Mae Bowman of Cyril was born August 3, 1937 in Amber, OK to Charles Wesley and Lillian Mable "Doll" [McClain] Abney. She passed away at her home in Cyril on February 17th at the age of 76.

After graduating from high school, she married Tommy A. Bowman on March 14, 1958 in Cyril. She worked as a Rover at Hermetic Switch in Chickasha for 27 years until she retired in March of 2012.

Patsy was very involved in her community. She was a faithful member of Calvary Temple. She belonged to the Cyril Historical Society and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved to travel and took many bus tours. She also liked to go shopping. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons and their wives: Larry and Sharon Bowman, Cyril, Bobby and Mary Bowman, Cyril; a daughter and her husband, Judy and Eric Jennings, Cyril; two grandchildren Zachary Bowman, Austin Jennings; four brothers: Jack and wife, Faye Abney, Lancaster, CA, Howard and wife, Rogene Abney, Oak Hurst, CA, Chuck and wife, Diana Abney, Oak Hurst, CA, Mike Abney; a sister-in-law, Joyce Abney, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA; er step-mother-in-law, Margie Bowman, Cyril and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tommy Bowman, a brother-Paul Abney and an infant daughter

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Temple in Cyril with Pastor Kip Ackley officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Temple.
