Lola Maxine [Keeton] Griffin

Funeral services for Lola [Keeton] Griffin will be held at the Maranatha Baptist Church, Monday, February 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Charles Bishop officiating.

Lola [Keeton] Griffin age 98 passed away peacefully in Villa Park, Illinois on February 9, 2016. She was formerly from Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Lola was born August 19, 1917 in Anutt, Missouri to the late Elva and Opal [Heavin] Keeton.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Cecil Griffin, whom she married on March 28, 1936; they had an inseparable marriage for 74 years.

She was the loving mother of Tomi [Bob] Marinier and Gwen [Tom] Smith and the cherished grandmother of Jason [Kim] Marinier, Jeremy [Tasha] Marinier, Keith [Sue] Smith, Chris [Jodie] Smith, Tim [Amy] Smith and Sally Patton. She has thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Lee [Arlene] Keeton, Kenny Keeton, Bobby Keeton, Ed Keeton and Lois [Jim] Morris. She will be greatly missed by her beloved sister Betty [Keeton] Heald and many nieces and nephews.

Lola was always active in her church homes, enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking her special chicken and noodles for all.

Lola and Cecil participated in the Senior Olympics for many years, bring home many medals. They always had horses and bred show winning quarter horses spending many hours training and showing.

She will be missed by many loving friends in Eureka, Kansas, Bridgeport, Illinois and Chickasha, Oklahoma.

She lived a full life with a smile, devotion to her family and friends and is welcomed into the Lords arms to reunite with her loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marantha Baptist Church, 1505 S. 29th Street, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Viewing for Lola [Keeton] Griffin will be at Ferguson Funeral Home, 804 Utah, Chickasha, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 13, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm.

Interment, immediately following the services, will be in Cement Cemetery located at Cement, Oklahoma and are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
