Glen Edwin Stark
August 25, 1919 ~ December 6, 1934

Glenn Edwin Starks, son of Rev. and Mrs. S.E. Starks of Healdton, was born August 25, 1919 at Okmulgee and departed this life December 6, 1934 at an El Reno hospital at the age of 15 years, 3 months and 11 days. He was ill only four days.

He was saved a few months ago while attending school at King's college at Kingfisher, where he was a freshman at the time of his death.

After bidding his classmates and loved one farewell, he looked up, smiled and asked them to meet him in heaven.

Rev. C.H. Williams, pastor and teacher of King's college, conducted the service at the Alfalfa Baptist church and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery.

The King's college quartet sang, "I want to live a life beyond." The quartet from Carnegie sang "Gathering Buds" and "Jesus, I'm ready to go, if you're ready for me." Prayer was lead by Rev. Dan. T. Muse, Oklahoma City.

Glenn was a kind and obedient child and loved by all who knew him.

He leaves to mourn his departure his father, mother and one sister, Cora Mae, and the following half-brothers and sisters: Clifford Starks, New York City; Billy Starks, Weatherford; Miss Venita Starks, Wichita, Kans., Mrs. Ethel Monroe and Mrs. Jessie Scarberry, Cordell, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Reinking of the Alfalfa community, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Miss Christina Reinking, Kingfisher; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pelter and Johnie Chalk, Cherokee; Rev. and Mrs. R.B. Beall, Mrs. Oliver Cox and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. John Higginbotham.
