Geneva Faye Morgan Loftis

Geneva Faye Morgan Loftis, 92, of Yuba, OK, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, October 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 23, 1926 to Jesse Albert and Sallie Ann (Campbell) Morgan in Yarnaby, OK. At the age of 13, she became the pianist at YarnabyAssembly of God, where she attended church until she was 18. She then began attending and playing piano at the Yuba Baptist Church for the next 35 years. She later returned to Yarnaby Assembly of God as a member and the pianist for the remainder of her years.

Geneva graduated from Achille High School and moved to Fort Worth, TX to be a shoe model for Neiman Marcus. She then moved to Orange, TX to pursue a career with the United States Navy building destroyer warships. She returned to Yarnaby to care for her terminally ill mother and handicapped brother. Soon after returning to her homeplace, she met Floyd Loftis, whom she married on January 5, 1953. The couple resided in her childhood home where she cared for her father and brother. They had a daughter, Sallie Ann Loftis, on December 8, 1958. A year later, they relocated to Yuba where they spent their remaining years. Geneva was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was very involved with her church,s music program. Along with playing the piano, she enjoyed singing gospel music as well. She became a member of The Historic Texoma Ladies Quartet, a traveling gospel group that performed throughout the country. The group also had a television show on Channel 12 that was broadcast every Sunday.

She is survived by her daughter, Sallie Banks; grandchildren, Micah Jon Banks, Samuel Loftis Banks and Morgan Michelle Banks; great-grandchildren, Miles Lee Banks, Kate Elizabeth Banks, Emily Harper Banks, Olivia Michelle Banks and Kennedy Grace Banks; nieces, Jacquita Sites, Ann Deitrich, Sue Morgan and Wanda Jones; nephews, "Bubba" Morgan and Floyd Loftis.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Floyd Loftis.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Yarnaby Assembly of God. Pastor Rick Ring will officiate. She will be buried at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, OK immediately following the service. Pallbearers are Joe Miller, Luther Newton, Doris Taylor, Ronnie Atnip, Jim Freeman and Larry Johnson.
