Vernon Dale Webb age 65 of Colbert, OK passed from this life on September 11, 2021, at his home. Vernon was born on April 21, 1956, in Durant to Orville Charley and Kathren Margarite (Talbott) Webb. Vernon married Ida Charlene Hays on February 1, 1976, in Calera. He has been a lifelong resident of Bryan County and he worked as a contractor in the construction industry. Vernon was a member of Truth Church in Denison and he enjoyed traveling in his RV, NHRA drag races, restoring classic cars and operating heavy equipment. Vernon deeply loved his family, and he adored his grandchildren.

Vernon is preceded in death by his son Russell Dale Webb; parents Orville and Kathren Webb and brothers Charley, David, and Leonard Webb.

Vernon is survived by is loving and devoted wife of 45 years Charlene Webb of the home; daughters Stephanie Clouse and husband Corey and Rebecca Maxwell; grandchildren Karsyn and Averie Clouse and Ryan and Jacob Maxwell; siblings Ishmel Webb, Barbara Bailey, Linda Minion, Delphine Webb, Edna Reed and Boyd Webb and wife Donna Kay; best friend and loyal companion “Jerry Jeff” and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of Vernon’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Truth Church of Denison. Bishop David Gilbert, Pastor Darren Gilbert and Pastor Randy Mayfield will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Randy Sanders, Tony Lopez, Fred Buck Jr., Teddy Clements, Daren Webb, Allen Webb, Chad Webb, Chris Yeary, Dustin Minion and Ty Minion serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Maxwell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
