Services for Clipper H. Turner, 76, of Colbert, who passed away January 16, 2008, in Denison, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Quinton Gage will officiate.

Clipper was born June 21, 1931 in Colbert to Elby Otis and Lucille Hamilton Turner.

He attended and graduated high school and later served his country in the United States Army.

He married Mona Quaid in 1958 and he worked in the oil field and construction industries.

He was of Church of Christ faith and he enjoyed fishing and watching all kinds of sports. Clipper will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mona Turner; son, Stacy Steele; brother, Elby Gene Turner and sister, Mildred Hash.

Clipper is survived by his daughter, Relita Biglow of Hurley, Mississippi; brother, Franklin D. Turner and wife Mary of Caddo; sister, Pat Morway and husband Larry of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and grandchildren, Tabra Biglow and B. J. Baker.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera.
