JoAnn Clayton Richardson was born June 22, 1942, in Olney, Texas to H.E. "Bill" Clayton and Mattie Gregg Clayton and passed from this life on Thursday, June 9, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Calera at the age 68.

She married the love of her life, Jerry Don Richardson on June 23, 1961.

She worked for Johnson and Johnson in Arlington, Texas until her retirement and then worked for the United States Postal Service in Calera, Oklahoma.

Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are husband, Jerry Don Richardson of the home; daughters, Brenda Huskey and David Hurd of Joshua, Texas, Becky Miller of Coleman, Texas and Barbara Routledge and husband David of Calera, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jamee Miller, Cody Miller and Rachel and Sarah Routledge; great granddaughter, Jeagan Miller; sister Waydene Martin and special cousins, Sue and Dennis Crockett and many other wonderful family and friends.

JoAnn was preceded in death by infant daughter, Vicki Lynn Richardson; parents, Bill and Mattie Clayton and brother, Billy Rex Clayton.

Services to celebrate the life of JoAnn will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Calera, Oklahoma. Bro. James Robinson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Byron Crockett, Joe Zak, Jamee Miller, Cody Miller, Kelly Richardson, Steve Richardson, James Richardson, Jimmy Hart, Matt Hart, Randy Hart and Rhett Richardson serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to freetobreathe.org.

Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
