Ella Faye Eaton pettigrew

Ella Faye (Eaton) Pettigrew was born July 12, 1945 in Keota, Oklahoma to Willie Eaton and Pearly Gertrude (Dunkin) Eaton. She passed from this life on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Ella found joy in spending time with her family, nurturing her garden, and enjoying simple pleasures like camping and playing dominoes and card games. Her love for traveling and seeing new places was a testament to her adventurous spirit. Her puppy, Tiny, was a faithful companion to her, reminding her of the beauty of unconditional love- Ella's passion for life and her commitment to those she loved continue to inspire us all.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents; her loving sister, Lora Eaton, and her cherished grandson, Brandon Broome.

Ella had 5 children and 2 step-children: daughter Regena Foreman of Durant, OK; sons Tim Hampton and Scott Hampton both of Colbert, OK; daughters Stacey Still and husband Juddie of Durant, and Crystal Hampton of Calera, OK; step-son Robert Pettigrew of Calera, OK; and step-daughter Linda Pettigrew of Denison, TX. Ella also had 19 grandchildren: Ciera Campbell, Gregory Wallin, Chanteal Foreman, Cammyale Foreman, Remmington Foreman, Logan Hampton, Madison and Jack Kinsey, Lacey Roberson, Cassandra and Marcus Hines, Kristina Hampton, David and Barbie Noltkamper, Candace and Bryan Hannah, Miranda and Loyd Holaday, Dillon Hampton, Trevor Hibdon, Jackie and Miles Ansiel, Mckayla Madison, Mikenzie Madison, and Chase Hartigan. Additionally, she had 39 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ella’s siblings were sister Jean Hancher of Denison, TX; brothers James Eaton and wife Linda, and Joe Eaton and wife Mariam of Calera, OK; and sister Lavelle Valles and husband Simon of Calera, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Minister Richard Gage will officiate. Graveside committal services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Calvin Hartigan, Chase Hartigan, David Noltkamper, Dillon Hampton, Wesley Poort, Bryan Hannah, and Loyd Holaday serving as active pallbearers.

Ella’s family will receive and greet friends on Friday, February 23, from 6-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Home.
