A celebration of the life of Marnell Conditt Mulkey, 74, of Calera who passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Medical Center of South Eastern Oklahoma will be held Thursday, December 6, 10: 00 a.m. at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Rev. Jeremy Parham and Rev. Randa Norman will officiate.

Marnell was born February 22, 1933 in Utica, to William Afton and Carri Mae Woodward Conditt. She was one eight children.

She attended elementary school in Utica and graduated from Blue High School.

She married Von Mulkey September 8, 1951 in Sherman, Texas and to this union were born four children.

Besides taking care of her family, she worked in the retail sales industry for many years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Calera and she dearly loved her family and especially chasing her grandchildren. Marnell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marnell was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, T.F. Conditt, W.A. Conditt and Bill Conditt and sisters, Louise Robinson and Geraldine Simmons.

Marnell is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Von of the home; daughters, Jan Nanny and husband Mark of Corsicana, Texas, Cindi Lilley of Calera, and Randa Dowling and husband Jim of Calera; son, Daryl Mulkey and wife Shannon of Durant; grandchildren, Brian Mahanay, Torri Johnston and spouse Dee Sims, Jared Bennett, Alyssa Johnston, and Conner Mulkey; great grandchildren, Devlyn Mahanay, Logan Johnston, Zane Wright, Landri Sims, and Sage Wright; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Bobby Carr, Kerry Carr, Keith Kuykendall, Brad Kuykendall, David Robinson and Aubrey Simmons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. tonight.
