Russell Anderson a resident of Calera, Oklahoma passed away in Calera on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the age of 44 years 9 months and 5 days. He was born to Mike and Judy (Harper) Anderson in Denison, Texas on Monday, December 23, 1968.
Russell was of the Christian faith. He loved football, cracking jokes and making people laugh, he had a charismatic personality. But the most important thing in Russell's life was his children.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his daughters, Ashlee Anderson of Durant, Oklahoma and Chelsea Anderson and fiance Adam Glover of Calera, Oklahoma; son, Dylan Anderson of Calera, Oklahoma; mother, Judy Harper of Calera, Oklahoma; father, Mike Anderson and wife Sherry of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, James Welch of Steigler, Oklahoma; sister, Julie Brown and husband Craig of Durant, Oklahoma; step-brothers, Leon Bowers and wife Gayle of Royce City, Texas, Jason Bannowsky of Durant, Oklahoma, Josh Bannowsky of Durant, Oklahoma and Mark Connell of Durant, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Brittni, Josh, Brett, Tanner, Cali, Kali, Seth, Jeffery, Monica, Aston ; great-nephew, Heston; mother-of-their children, Shellie Anderson of Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his step-father, Junior Pigg.
Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service in his memory will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013, Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home 121 N. 5th ST in Durant with Bro. Ron Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Aplin, Shorty Wilkins, Jody Wilkins, Mikey Wilkins, Steve Anderson, Mark Connell, Jessie Whitton, Adam Barnette and Billy Stephens.
