Winford "Junior" Taylor entered this life on September 22, 1929 in Caney, Oklahoma, born to Arthur Riley and Edna Miller Taylor. Junior went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2016 in Caddo, OK at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 16 days.

Mr. Taylor attended Post Oak and Nix schools. He married the love of his life, Elaine Carr, on August 26, 1951 in the Denison/Sherman area. Together they were lifelong residents of Bryan and Atoka Counties. Junior loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his cherished family. He also enjoyed playing the guitar with his brother Carroll before he preceded him in death. He was a talented musician, and could play various instruments. Junior was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Caddo where he served as a faithful member for many years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elaine Taylor of Caddo; sons, Harold "Dean" Taylor and wife Linda, of Madill, and Ronnie Taylor of Caddo; daughter, Lisa Darlene Reeves and husband Mark, of Durant; grandchildren, Holli Taylor, Nomad, Carli Taylor of Dallas, Taylor Reeves of Oklahoma City, Seth Reeves of Durant, and Emma Reeves of Durant; sisters, Glenda Granger of Atoka, and Neoma Davis and husband Benny, of Caddo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Browns Funeral Service Chapel, Durant, with Reverend Mike Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family hour will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Dean Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Taylor Reeves, Seth Reeves, Holli Taylor, Mark Reeves and Carli Taylor.
