Phillip Grady White, 48, of Corpus Christi, Texas, departed this life Dec. 20, 2008, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at 2 p.m .at the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Pastor Darel Bunch will officiate.
Phil was born April 1, 1960, in Northridge, Calif., to Joe Grady and Minnie Belle (Henson) White. He moved with his parents from Granada Hills, California to Durant, Oklahoma when he was only six months old. He graduated from Durant High School in 1978 and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was an electrician by trade and worked 20 years for Bechtel (Becon Construction). He was an electrical contractor in the State of Alabama and at the time of his death he was a member of Local Union 278 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Corpus Christi, Texas. He married Karen Sue Huff Nov. 22, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Phil loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, NASCAR races, Oklahoma Sooner and Dallas Cowboy football. He never met a stranger because the minute he met you, you were his friend.
Phil was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grady and Lucille White and Ida Henson.
Phil is survived by his wife, Karen of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Eric White of Houston, Texas; daughter, Traci Price and husband Jerry of Deer Park, Texas; mother of his children, Delores White of Deer Park, Texas; parents, Joe and Minnie White of Durant, Okla.; brother, Paul White and wife Natalie of Ingleside, Texas; grandchildren, Callista and Jake Price of Deer Park, Texas, and Tristan and Kaylee White of Houston, Texas; nieces, Laura White of Ingelside, Texas, and Amanda White of Franklin, Ky.; and nephews Steven and Ben White of Ingleside, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Calvary Baptist Church c/o Falls Creed Cabin Fund, 715 W. Louisiana, Durant, OK 74701.
