Memorial services for Anita Johnson, 74, who passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Calera Manor Nursing Home, Calera, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Larkspur Village Hospitality Room. Ann Lewis will officiate.

Anita was born July 27, 1934, to Tony and Mercedes (Valiena) Severa in Oakland, Calif. She married J.R. Johnson on Oct. 2, 1951, in Reno, Nevada.

She was a retired housekeeper. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading and video games. She was a member of Victory Life Church.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Tony Severa and sister Mercedes Grossbeck.

Anita is survived by sons Billy Johnson and wife Jeanie, Achille, Greg Johnson and wife Judy, Durant, and Johnny Johnson and fiancee Pam, Gainsville, Texas; daughter Debbie Votaw of Calif.; brothers Richard Severa, Godfrey, Ill., and Bobby Severa, Castro Valley, Calif.; sisters Loraine Smidth, N.D., and Shirley Lemoore; grandchildren Sabrina Stricklen, Cindy Glover, Michael Johnson, Alisha Johnson-Lomoe, Jesse Johnson and Wyatt Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.
