Glen Douglas "Poke" Ferguson
1930 - 2005
Glen Douglas Ferguson (Poke) July 29, 1930 June 7, 2005 Glen was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma, to Earl and Gertrude Ferguson.
He moved to California with his parents when he was 15 years old. He lived in the Sunset Camp until he met and married the love of his life, Barbara Payne; they were married 56 years.
Glen worked and retired from Kern Rock Company after 33 years of service.
He was known for his keen sense of humor. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and raising game chickens. His family was so important to him and before he passed away he said numerous times to his family, I dont mind going, but I hate to leave Barbara. He will be missed by all who knew him. We know we had to let him go so he could be with our Father with no more pain and suffering from that dreadful cancer.
Glen was preceded in death by his son, Randy.
He is survived by children, Valerie, Doug, Eddie, and Noah; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille and Betty, and brother, Gene.
Friends are invited to graveside services on Wednesday, June 15th, at 1:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest on Panama Lane.
